The BizTalk Server 2010 Management Pack provides both proactive and reactive monitoring of BizTalk deployment, applications and its constituent artifacts. The monitoring provided by this management pack includes health monitoring, availability and configuration monitoring, performance data collection, and default thresholds.

Before You Import the Management Pack
As a best practice, you should import the Windows Server Management Pack for the operating system that you are using.
Supported Applications
The BizTalk Server 2010 Management Pack monitors computers that are running Windows Server 2008.
How to Import the BizTalk Server 2010 Management Pack

After you download the BizTalk Server Management Pack, import it into System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2/2007 SP1.
To import the BizTalk Server Management Pack

In the Operations Console, on the Go menu, click Administration.

In the navigation pane, expand Administration.

Right-click Management Packs, click Import Management Packs, select BizTalk Server 2010 and then click Open.

Follow the instructions in the wizard.

Optional Configuration
After you import the BizTalk Server 2010 Management Pack, it begins to discover and monitor computers without additional configuration. However, you can configure the BizTalk Server 2010 Management Pack for your environment and your preferences. For example, some of the monitors or rules are disabled by default, and you can turn them on if you want to. Or, if the performance-measuring rules that are enabled degrade server performance, they can be disabled.
To enable a monitor

In the Operations Console, on the Go menu, click Authoring.

In the navigation pane, expand Management Pack Objects, and then click Monitors.

In the Monitors list, expand the target that you want until the monitor appears.

Right-click the monitor that you want, point to Overrides, point to Override the Monitor, and then click For all objects of type: <type of object>.

Under Override-controlled parameters, in the Override column, select the Enabled check box.

In the Override Setting column, in the drop-down menu, click True, and then click OK.
To enable a rule

In the Operations Console, on the Go menu, click Authoring.

In the navigation pane, expand Management Pack Objects, and then click Rules.
Note To show rules for the BizTalk Management Pack only, on the toolbar, click Scope, and then under Target, select the check boxes for the BizTalk components. -
Under Rules, right-click the rule that you want to turn off, point to Overrides, point to Disable the Rule, and then click For all objects of type: <type of object>.
